For God had not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. - 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
There's a unity that holds us with God, that blessed Hope had been made our peace. His blood, the blood of Jesus Christ draws us close to God the Father (Ephesians 2:13) and His Spirit gives us newness of life. In Him we live and move and have our being and in Him & through Him we have fellowship with the Father in love. Whether we wake or sleep, our hearts sure of His promise (1Jn 2:25, Jn17:3, Jn14:1-3, Acts 1-10:11) and of His word that never returns void (Isaiah 55:11), God is so wonderful, faithful and true.
Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. -Romans 4:7
And for this cause, my joy is full because my Hope is found, for that which I am sure: how my Jesus, the Son of God had shed His blood, had died and rose again. Now ascended and seated in glory, He'll come again. And even as the sun sets my soul shall praise You still, for you are God my Savior, my Lord, my Master, Bridegroom and Friend.
